Thank you ChatGPT!
For weeks I've been learning to use the WIX website platform, and struggling to find good instructional material. How-to-do-specific-task tutorials were hard to find (although I did get some good direction from FixWix https://www.youtube.com/c/WixFix)
By far the most frustrating search was for a definitive explanation of the difference between the "section" and "strip" elements in the WIX editor. Google was a complete and total bust.
So I decided to try an AI search. BINGO! In the Wix Editor, a "section" is a larger unit that can contain multiple "strips." A section can be thought of as a container for strips, and it typically includes a background image or color, as well as other design elements.
A "strip," on the other hand, is a smaller unit that contains specific content, such as text, images, or videos. Strips can be added to a section to create a more complex layout for a webpage.
In essence, sections are the larger building blocks that contain strips, which are the smaller building blocks that contain content. Sections can also have additional settings, such as vertical alignment and height, which strips do not have.
If only I'd known this going in ...
Happy weekend!
