Day One: May 1, 2023 Yikes, it's a blog!

Starting on the first day of the month feels about right, although as so often happens, when my hands hover over the keyboard, my mind is at a loss for inspiration. Without an assignment or a rant that wants out, I'm writing just to write; and keep the skills sharp. It's easier when the stakes feel lower. Facebook-me is as loquatious as blog-me is shy. So ...

What are today's thoughts that compel keystrokes? Maybe a brief reflection on getting started. On learning new software and reviewing prior work for sharing. On making the public declaration that I hope to do more writing--educational, promotional--whatever for people other than friends.

I have to confess, those are scary thoughts. But they may just be enough for today, and perhaps until next week?

Anyway, it's a start.
